FAQ
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Solo packing is free, with no time limit:
- unlimited lists, items, and categories;
- all 15 trip templates;
- quantities, photos, and the shopping list;
- basic prep tasks (buy, wash, iron, charge);
- departure-date reminders.
What does Pro unlock?
- Family Mode — sharing one trip with your family via iCloud;
- scanning a paper list with the camera (on-device text recognition);
- unlimited custom prep tasks and time-based reminders;
- item icons generated on supported iPhones.
Is Pro a subscription?
Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase — no recurring charges. The optional Pro Yearly plan is an auto-renewing subscription with a 7-day free trial; it renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
How do I restore purchases?
Use Restore Purchases in the app's settings. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that was used for the purchase.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Everything in solo mode — lists, photos, reminders, templates, the shopping list — runs entirely on your iPhone. Only Family Mode needs a network connection, because it synchronizes the shared trip between devices via iCloud.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for. Family Mode uses the iCloud account already signed in on your iPhone.
What data does Family Mode share, and with whom?
Only the shared trip list (items, assignments, shared notes, progress) is synchronized — through your own iCloud account to the people you invite. Your personal "Mine" list stays on your phone unless you deliberately move an item to the shared list. We operate no servers and cannot see your data.
Where are my photos stored?
Inside the app's storage on your iPhone. If you use iCloud Backup or device backups, they are included in your own backup like any other app data. The app never uploads photos anywhere itself.
Why does the app ask for camera / photo / notification permission?
- Camera — to photograph items or scan a paper list (Pro). Everything stays on the device.
- Photo library — only when you attach an existing photo to an item.
- Notifications — for local, departure-based reminders. There is no push server.
All permissions are optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
Troubleshooting
My Pro purchase is not active
Try:
- Restore Purchases in the app;
- confirming you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the purchase;
- restarting the app.
If the issue continues, contact support and include your iOS version, app version, and what you see on the paywall/status screen.
Family Mode won't create or join a shared trip
Check that:
- you are signed in to iCloud on the device (Settings → your name);
- iCloud Drive is enabled;
- the device has a network connection;
- the invite link was opened on a device with Bilargo Prep installed.
If it still fails, contact support with the exact error message shown.
Reminders don't fire
Check that notifications are allowed for Bilargo Prep in iOS Settings, that a departure date is set for the active trip, and that Focus/Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them.
A scanned list came out wrong
Handwriting recognition runs on your device and can misread difficult handwriting. Retake the photo in better light, or edit the recognized items before saving.
